Richard Garriot, more commonly known as Lord British of Everquest fame, has been hard at work at his latest MMORPG offering, Shroud of the Avatar. Finally reaching the six month mark, he and the studio behind the game have released a comprehensive progress video showcasing the various aspects that have already been fleshed out - go ahead and take a look.

First off, the graphics actually look pretty amazing, although I'm not sure if the mentions of it being an 'instanced' MMO would go over well with the incredibly jaded community. Going back to the visuals, the animations are quite solid, smoothly working, with interesting designs breaking up the monotony of the landscape. There's quite an in-depth description of the housing designs and choices made in the game during the video, as well as a small walkthrough of a dungeon crawl in a prison.
