Pillars of Eternity, Eternally Improving
Yo jurors! Pillars of Eternity is one of the best cRPG's released in recent memory and possibly one of the best cRPG's released ever. We were wholly impressed with it when it launched and now it's going to get better with the upcoming 2.0 patch.
So what's in the patch?
Improved Party AI - Players will be able to choose different class based AI types for each party member including if they will be allowed to auto use per-rest abilities or not. This can, for those who wish to use this feature, cut down on the need to micromanage their party.
Individual stealth - Prior to patch 2.0, if a party member entered stealth the entire party entered stealth. And conversely, if one party member was discovered, the entire team was forced out of stealth. Not anymore. Now players will be able to choose who they want to go into stealth and when a party member is discovered it only applies to that party member, as opposed to whole party.
Range and accuracy indicators - There will be new UI options that will show the range of abilities before they are cast and the chance of hitting different targets within an area of effect.
Some really good quality of life changes here for a game that was already at the top of the RPG mountain. But....
What say you jurors? Ready to take your party into the dungeons to see how the new AI fares? Or are you quietly trying to sneak away before I sentence you for not having played this? Let us know in the comments.
