Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is nearing the release and has already entered the state of open beta. Nearly every week of late sees a beta weekend, both on PS3 and PC. And you know what? People are interested in it! With over one million unique persons registered, the game shows lots of potential - the series' fans seem to have given FFXIV a second chance. Let's just hope Square won't waste it!

Well, the gameplays show it will be a true MMO, with skills, levels etc. It is hard to compare to the previous games, except Final Fantasy XI, which still has quite a nice player base, despite being p2p :P So my bet is it will good :-)

The real question though. Is it really as good as it looks? The last few Final Fantasies have been somewhat disappointing after all
