Oculus Rift Engineer Killed In Police Chase
Andrew Scott Reisse, one of the co-founders and engineers at Oculus VR, was run over and killed by suspects fleeing police on Thursday, according to KABC. The car was fleeing a shooting that occurred between gang members and police, running through several red lights, including through the intersection that Reisse was crossing at the time.
In an official statement, Reisse's co-workers said "Andrew was a brilliant computer graphics engineer, an avid photographer and hiker who loved nature, a true loyal friend, and a founding member of our close-knit Oculus family. Andrew's contributions span far and wide in the video game industry. His code is embedded in thousands of games played by millions of people around the world, words can not express how sorely he will be missed or how deeply our sympathy runs for his family."
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Mr Reisse, as we mourn the passing of one of the great minds of the games industry.

Man, talk about probability... :-( Anyone dying in something like this would be terrible, but such a person... Unbelievable.
