Oculus Rift Dev Kits Delayed
The Oculus Rift, a set of prototype VR glasses, are having their development kits delayed by three months. The creators of the Rift have been working with various parts for their prototypes and have scrapped their original design, instead going with a better screen that improves performance of the product. An unfortunate side effect of this is that production of the glasses has been delayed, as the new design will take more time to be prepped for mass production.
You can read more about the delay, and the Rift in general, over at the Kickstarter page for it. The Rift seems to be promising a step towards the kind of Virtual Reality technology we've been imagining for years. Hopefully it proves to be a success.
