Nvidia Shield, a portable Android gaming console was launched almost two weeks ago. While it has only been sold in USA and Canada so far, the initial batch of several thousand units has sold out. During the company's earnings call, Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang has called these sales "great". The production of Shield is being ramped up at the moment, and Huang expects a lot of worldwide sales in the future. It remains to be seen if the future sales vindicate the optimism of Nvidia's executives.
