Nickle and Dime Space 3

So, first we're getting a co-op feature, then it's an N7 suit of armour, and now there's a micro-transaction option. Yep, that's right. Visceral, for whatever reason, decided to include an option that allows you to buy weapon upgrades with real world cash. There are several caveats included, such as the prohibition against maxing out right at the beginning of the game, and they've assured us this is nothing more than a short cut. None of the options will be left as pay only (barring the obligatory DLC of course) which means the more patient of us can still do it the old fashioned way. But yeah, buy your way to victory.

I've always found this kind of thing to be utterly pointless. I've seen it in other games, and it makes absolutely no sense to me. Sadly, a lot of people disagree. I already know, with absolute certainty, that some people will take this option. And, frankly, that's quite sad. Knowing that there really are people so impatient as to spend real money, even such small amounts, just to get a piece of digital tat a few hours early...le sigh. Well, there you have it folks. Like it or loathe it, it's going to be a part of the game. What, if any, effect this will have on future save files (ergo, will you get the benefits a second time around if you start a brand new game) are currently unknown. But, does anyone really want to know? If you do, feel free to tell us why in the comments below.

DX11 is overrated as shit anyway. The lack of DX11 is no good reason to complain, when only a ridiculously low amount of games nowadays use it anyway, and don't use it all that well either. What people really should complain is EA's business practice in general. It's despicable. You shouldn't buy these games, and you shouldn't pirate them. Not matter how much you want to. SOMEPLACE we need to take a stand, and show that we can't just let these companies do anything and expect us to accept the buttrape.

It'll still look better. Dead Space 2 was vastly improved, visually, over it's console counterpart

Indeed, also the PC version wont have any nice features, only those that the firt too games had. So no shiny textures, no Dx11..

I didn't want to say this in the article itself, because it would have felt too unprofessional. But I'm calling it right now. Given that the majority of the other games I've seen with the micro-transaction shortcut model are EA titles, this wasn't a decision made by Visceral. It was pushed on them from above
