Planescape: Torment, one of the classic old school RPGs, has had a spiritual successor in the works for a while now. What that successor - Torment: Tides of Numenera - has now, is the support of Chris Avellone, lead designer of Planescape: Torment, and a Kickstarter, which is due to start on March 6th.

With a large number of people from the original team on board, and the support of a large bunch of people with intrinsic and important ties to the Role-Playing Genre as a whole, particularly (as Avellone put it) Monte 'Fucking' Cook, this new team looks to be set to make us one awesome successor to what many consider an awesome game.
