New HotS for HotS
PAX East has started, and the gaming titan that is Blizzard Entertainment (see what I did there?) has stuff to show on its latest free-to-play endeavour. Heroes of the Storm comes to us with a psychotic butterfly, a midget panda, and a zappy Kerrigan and Tyrael on a bad day. In terms that make actual sense, HotS will be getting new heroes, heroic abilities, talents and skins.
One of the new heroes has already been showcase. I give you Brightwing, a faerie dragon with maybe too much crazy to go around. Her skills seem to be centred around dishing damage and debilitation. That means turning people into pigs. Classy.
Of course, HotS’s talent system does make character roles rather malleable, so who knows what she’ll be good for? The only way to find out is to play. Get that, Blizzard? *wink wink, nudge nudge*
Heroes of the Storm is currently in closed beta, so if you want to play, sign into b.net, opt in for the beta, and maybe sacrifice an animal to Tezcatlipoca or something because odds are you still won’t be getting in.
