Whether or not you're a fan of anime or Naruto the Shippuden games are still excellent fighting games that are, to my knowledge, almost unique in their simplicity and intensity. The announced release date is February 5th 2016, chosen to ensure that the developers, CyberConnect2, could deliver the best quality product possible.

Previously revealed were new characters playable for the first time in the series; Kaguya, Naruto (Six Paths), Sasuke (Rinnegan), Madara (Six Paths), and Obito (Ten Tails Jinchuriki). Also available, albeit as exclusive pre-order characters will be Boruto and Sarada. That should round out the roster to about the population of Surrey. There's some new features to the game too, including rounds, environmental effects, costume damage, linked awakenings, new filters and advanced facial expressions depending on the situation.
