Multiplying the Creed
We all knew it was only a matter of time and, honestly, most of us are amazed it took this long. But here it is, the official Black Flag multiplayer trailer. And frankly, I'm unimpressed.
"What you say!?"
Make your time guys, because I have set up us the bomb! Don't get me wrong, it's far from terrible, it's actually pretty decent. But, and this is a rare thing for me to say, it's only decent. The animations, especially conjextually activated (read 'parkour') are all over the place, with rubber banding characters that seem to have borrowed some tech from Ensign Kyle.
What do you meah "who's Ensign Kyle?" he was...urgh, look, for the last time. Scotty was the Engineer! The transporter chief was Ensign Kyle, but that's beside the point. Actually, no, that's entirely the point. By this stage in the game, namely the sixth game in the (main) series, you'd think they'd be ever so slightly more refined than that.
However, having said that, the rest of it looks pretty darned spiffy. The assassinations, and counter assassinatiuons (yeah, it seems you can kill your killer now, not just stun them) are suitably OTT and flow quite nicely. But really, come on Ubi, tighten up those parkour aminations. You're letting...wait, they're French. Ahh! That explains everything!

Yeah, that's my point. They're not bad, but they're not up to the Ubi standard. They're usually a lot better than this

It doesn't look terrible, IMO. But I don't quite understand why they insist on having multiplayer at all. Allocate the time and resources to improving and expanding the singleplayer experience instead. The multiplayer is something few people are going to bother with anyway.
