MS At It Again, Twin-Stick Halo Win8 Exclusive
Well, here's a bit of a surprise. Halo is apparently not exclusive to the Xbox anymore (again)! Well okay, let's be honest here - this isn't the next big Halo FPS. An upcoming twin-stick style, top-down shooter set in the Halo universe, developed by Vanguard Games and 343 Industries, the amply titled Halo: Spartan Assault will apparently recreate numerous battles between the UNSC and their many enemies. The game is set to be released sometime in July for PC, tablets and smartphones, with a price tag of $6,99.
There has to be a catch though, doesn't there. This time, the catch is that the PC-version is exclusive to Windows 8, and the mobile and tablet versions are exclusive to the ones running Microsoft's own OS. Although the game undeniably looks like it could be a fun distraction, how much can Microsoft expect in sales, when this little arcade game forces people to install a brand new OS on their PCs (if they haven't installed Win8 yet). And honestly, they can't care much about their own game if they're willingly refusing to release it for Android and Apple phones as well. Either way, the trailer is at least entertaining enough, so be sure to check that one out.
