MoH Tour Is Over

Well this is a surprise – EA is giving up on Medal of Honor...at least for now. The bad sales and review scores for Warfighter all over the world "convinced" Electronic Arts to give Medal of Honor an honourable discharge from the two year rotation that it had to do to keep military shooters coming out every year alongside Battlefield to battle Call of Duty. But they have a replacement so have no fear, your lust for yearly dose of military shooters from EA will be satisfied!

"Critics were polarized and gave the game scores which were, frankly, lower than it deserved. This one is behind us now. We are taking Medal of Honor out of the rotation and have a plan to bring year-over-year continuity to our shooter offerings."

Now if you ask me Warfighter had some cool thing going for it but overall it was a pretty uninspiring game that needed at least one more year of development. That said I still wish to see MoH come back one day (not in yearly iterations) and would be glad if it went back to WW2 setting. As for the new "plan" for a yearly shooter I have my doubts that it will be a new IP and that leaves just Battlefield n+1 or Bad Company n+1 (which is essentially the same Battlefield). But maybe I'm wrong and Respawn guys (ex-Infinity Ward people) will do something to surprise us like they did with CoD4. One can only hope...
