This one somewhat slipped through the cracks like gravel when you mine out under it, but Telltale Games are doing another episodic game, this time about Minecraft, the 16 bit blocky game by Mojang.
Taking the open sandbox and making a story in it is a great idea for a game set in Minecraft as that each person has a different story in their head, or make different things, preserve areas or turn them into rail network hubs, it will be interesting to see what Telltale does with the unlimited story potential.
The news today though is that we have a release date for the first episode at last; Story Mode will release October 13 on digital outlets and October 27 at physical retail.

Great idea, and Telltale will probably make a great game out of it.
It's just a shame that Story Mode offers nothing, no actual content, minecraft players, only to its "fans".
Its basically just another piece of merchandise, not even a decent tribute to the game.
