Today Mojang has launched a new private server service for Minecraft. Minecraft Realms, which aims to simplify multiplayer access in the popular Indie Game, was released in Sweden in December and has now been released in most of Europe, the US and other countries. 

It allows players to host private servers for up to 20 people (only 10 at one time). The servers are available 24/7 and feature restore points for the owner’s use. The servers also feature exclusive minigames and events. 

The service is a paid subscription available at (€10 / $13) per month, but discounts are available for longer subscriptions. It is currently only for the Windows PC version, however support is planned for the Minecraft: Pocket Edition in the near future.
