Undead Labs, the extremely talented bunch of lads and lasses behind the smash hit State of Decay, have proudly announced a multi-year, multi-title partnerships with Microsoft Studios. For the moment, this announcement has taken the form of a blog by Jeff, not Sanya Weathers (Undead's PR rep) curiously, with only very vague mentions of...stuff that will be coming. Later. In the future. At some point. After now.

"I wanted to let you know we've signed a multi-year, multi-title agreement to extend our development relationship with Microsoft Studios. We'll be able to share details later this year, but as with State of Decay, we think it's best if we just keep our heads down and build some prototypes before we talk too much. For now, suffice it to say there are big things going on with State of Decay."

Beyond that..? Well, I spoke to Sanya not so long ago, we'll have the full interiew posted very soon, but I can tell you that we spoke briefly about some of thier plans. Which include a new game that is, basically, State of Decay the MMO. For lack of a better term. But what the rest means...more State of Decay DLC, maybe new environments? Time will tell.

As much as the PC and Microsoft have been at odds over the years (ironic isn't it?) this is great news in my books. Undead are a very dedicated, consumer conscious group of people, so anything that allows them to keep doing what they are doing is only for the better.
