Look, more Witcher!
Another Witcher 3 dev video has surfaced, this time focusing on the world the player gets to travel through and explore. And while we have already seen most of the scenes appearing in the video, it is still worth watching, especially for those unfamiliar with the lore of the Witcher's world as crafted in Andrzej Sapkowski's books.
If you decide to watch the vid, you will get to see a couple of Polish people with funny accents speaking about creation of the game's world. Their descriptions of hand-crafted, well-fit and rewarding locations bring Oblivion to mind and if the outcome turns out to be half as good, I am bought.
Other aspects mentioned is the reputation system, which is apparently supposed to affect each and every NPC we stumble upon. Also, each of those characters is supposed to have their own personality, daily agenda and sometimes even memories about Geralt (who, as you remember, lost his memory). Yeah, this is something we hear about from pretty every RPG developer lately, but hey, it is Witcher 3, meaning they may as well succeed! Travel system is also mentioned - the player will have multiple choices regarding how they more Geralt around the world - on foot, horseback, boat, swimming, fast travel... Yeah, no wyvern flaying, sorry.
The Witcher 3 will be out on 24th February 2015 and is already available for preorder in various places, including GOG.com, the developer's own platform. Check it out, as they have a pretty neat promotion giving you discount if you own any or both of the previous instalments.

I hope they'll do something similar to Vampire Bloodlines with Cyberpunk 2077. Obviously with the cyberpunk and not vampires, but the same vibe overall. Would be kickass.

Still waiting for Cyberpunk 2077 news though. That's what I am dying to hear about.

It's hard not to be. The previous two games were brilliant and CD Projekt have a well documented history of being good to their fans

Oh I know, but PC community knows this game is going to be badass. Then when I see these crazy trailers, just makes my mouth water. Will eventually get it.

All things considered, the hype has been rather restrained. Unlike some Ubisofts, who shall remain unnamed, CD Projekt are more interested in making the game, than spending billions of dollars promoting it. The anticipation is generated on its own

Looks fucking intense. Trying not to buy into the hype but I am weak
