Bohemia Interactive, the team behind the Arma series and the standalone DayZ, has announced a new DLC. Karts will be the first premium content that will be available to download for Arma 3.

Instead of the usual sandbox tactical-based combat, the DLC will take you to the race tracks of Altis. Here you will take on other players, with the only weapon being your kart. The strategy will be different, with you learning the best racing-lines to defeat your opponents rather than finding an ideal vantage point to take them out. So put the pedal to the metal and go for the chequered Flag.

So there we have it, the next form of combat looks like road rage. I wish the karts had weapons, as it would be fun to shoot rockets or leave oil slicks, but maybe in a future update these will be added? Arma 3: Karts will be available for download in the second quarter 2014.
