Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light: F2P Edition

Say hello to my little friend!

Seems like free-to-play (F2P) games are popping up all over now and how each of them make money can be wildly different. Take the Tomb Raider game Laura Croft and the Guardian of Light on Core Online. The game has been split up to different episodes and can be played entirely free of charge.

The game will play in your browser and looks quite impressive. If you play for free your game will occasionally be interrupted by an ad every few minutes. You can also opt in to pay $1 per level to disable ads, or $10 for the whole game (there are 14 levels in total).

If you are interested in playing the top-down dungeon crawler Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light entirely for free but with advertisements in it, then head on over to Core Online to check out the game.

What do you guys think of this type of free-to-play model? Would you play certain games that are interrupted by ads? Do you think it is a stupid idea? Leave your thoughts below.
