The Assassins Creed series has certainly been known to tamper with historical facts in order to make a story, so the DLC for the third game should be just as absurd right?  In fact it has to do with the alternate history of the United States in its early stages of existence. People wanted George Washington to be king, he had a better idea since they just fought against that kind of political system, he would rather not be king.
