Kickstarter has announced that, from the 13th of November, project creators in my fair country of Australia, and our neighbouring New Zealand, will be able to create, and receive funding for, their projects. While this has previously been possible via the use of friends overseas, or through setting up dummy addresses in America, with solid Australian projects obtaining their funding for more than three years now, it's nice to see a bit of recognition for us Aussies (and the New Zealanders).

I'm not certain how this localisation will affect people's decisions to create or support Kickstarter projects, but at least we'll be able to consider supporting local projects without having to deal with exchange rates now...
