Jagged Alliance In New Hands

So, Jagged Alliance. Hailed as possibly one of the more influential games of the genre, alongside heavy-hitters such as Fallout, seems to have been forgotten by all except the actual gamers of the gaming community. Forgotten... till now.
Full Control, the studio behind upcoming Space Hulk, the PC adaptation of the famed board game, is apparently planning to move on to a turn-based Jagged Alliance game once Space Hulk is released. Yes you heard that right - there's gonna be a new turn-based Jagged Alliance out sometime soon. The man behind this decision, Thomas Lund, CEO of Full Control, stated that "It is one of the 3 games besides X-Com and Fallout that really defined the entire genre and is part of our DNA...We are honored and excited to have been the confidence given by bitComposer to give the series a fresh new take whilst staying true to the core mechanics."
Excited? Well, you should be. Full Control is an unknown quantity as of now, but we'll know soon enough with the release of Space Hulk. Still, anyone who can sit down at a table and finally realize that everybody has been demanding a sequel to Jagged Alliance for the past decade or so deserves a medal in my book.
