Infinite Finally Goes Gold

Hell, it's about time. Or is that the wrong tagline? Anyway, BioShock Infinite has finally gone gold, as revealed by Irrational's Ken Levine in a recent blog post. To those who had been living under a rock these past few months, BioShock Infinite is the sequel to BioShock and BioShock 2, where the setting has changed from underwater city to vast floating American metropolis. Promised to be "a game that was very much the BioShock experience, and at the same time something completely different", I daresay it is one of the most hotly-anticipated games of the year. The date we finally get our hands on it? March 26.

Still hungry for more information about the game? Check out this new morsel over at Polygon, where they managed to interview Design Director Bill Gardner, who stated that the team cut enough content to "make five or six games", a tall boast but one that rings of probable truth considering the immense amount of effort put into the game. Anyway, a mere one more month or so, and we'll be back in the world of BioShock. Excited?
