Not content with making us all install and play through Half-Life 2 again last year, Fake Factory is back to do it all again. Or rather, will be soon. Check out the preview above and hold on to your butts, you're on for a smooth ride.

Wait, what?

Yeah, you heard right. Wheras the Cinematic Mod v12 went for a dirty, grim and grimy look. The 2013 (presumably the Cimenatic Mod v13) has gone for crystal clear visual fidelity. Pristine, intricately detailed fronds and blades of grass swaying in the breeze. Untouched water flowing leasiruely through lazy streams. And, most importantly of all. A new, High Resolution Alyx model that doesn't make her look like a goddamn Asian whore!

Though, to be fair, not all of the models from version 12 were that bad. Some of them were actualy pretty darned good, they just didn't fit the setting all that well. In fact, a fair few of them looked like they'd be better suited in Mass Effect. But, this time around, we have an Alyx that actually looks like Alyx. And that alone is worth yet another install. I mean, I already did an entire Let's Play (shameless self plug) of v12 that I have conveniently linked below.

But now...now I'm wondering what Doctor Mossman will look like. I always had a bit of a soft spot for Michelle Forbes as a nipper. So i shall certainly be installing this upon release. Won't you?
