Impossible Studios Goes Full Circle Again

Early last year 38 Studios filed for bankruptcy and amongst the feeding frenzy of assets being sold, Epic Games dived in and saved Big Huge Games! Originally they were Epic Baltimore but got renamed to the very fitting Impossible Studios because of what happened to 38 Studios. So you would think they've endured enough hard times and deserve a break, however the world we live in, is a damn cruel one... Tim Sweeney the founder of Epic Games has announced that they are closing Impossible Studios.

"We’re closing Impossible Studios. When former members of Big Huge Games approached Epic last year, we saw the opportunity to help a great group of people while putting them to work on a project that needed a team. It was a bold initiative and the Impossible folks made a gallant effort, but ultimately it wasn't working out for Epic. In addition to providing Impossible Studios employees with 3 months of severance pay, we’ll be giving the team the opportunity to form a new company with the Impossible Studios name and the awesome Impossibear logo.

This means that Infinity Blade: Dungeons is now on hold as we figure out the future of the project. "

Indeed the world is a cruel place! But at least they are getting 3 months pay and the opportunity to become a new company with the same name and logo. The real question of course is, will they recover from another huge blow?
