The promising first-person F2P Mech-shooter game, Hawken, has released a gameplay demo showing off their new destruction physics engine at GDC 2013.

It is really exciting to see that not only is the demo level running very well, but also that the destruction physics is impressive to say the least. The physics will use the Nvidia PhysX engine and will allow players to shoot and destroy pretty much everything. The Mech, being the heavy duty machine that it is, can crash through building walls and floors, destroying it all.

One thing is certain, the destruction physics are looking really great and it will definitely be making its way into Hawken sooner than expected! Until then, you can still play Hawken completely for free by signing up as you warm up for the update.
