After many years of banned mature and adult games, Australia has finally introduced the R 18+ rating for video games. While it has finally opened the doors to uncensored versions of games there, recent news made it seem that little has changed. Saints Row IV has been refused classification in Australia (and thus banned) two times in a row already. The Australian Classification Board is really afraid of awful things that will happen if adults see the mention of Alien Anal Probes.

Still there is some good news, as it looks like ACB has nothing against adults seeing virtual cars, guns and hookers of Pacific Los Santos. Grand Theft Auto V has received an R 18+ rating in Australia, with the drug use found as the most troubling issue in the game. Maybe there is still some hope left for ACB to make smart decisions in the future.
