6 new "tuned cars" have been added to the game in a DLC pack. Players of GRID 2 will immediately recognise these vehicles as they are already in the game as tier 1 race cars, however the DLC pack adds them as fully "tuned" vehicles that the player can use at tier 2. As these are in a DLC pack they also include neat visual customisations that you cannot get any other way. This is also the only way to use your favourite tier 1 vehicles at tier 2.
The 6 cars included are:
- Dodge Charger RT: This has received a stiffer suspension, wider wheels and a whole variety of other improvements, all of which to make it lighter and have a faster top speed and acceleration
- Ford Mustang Mach 1 Twister Special: Improved aerodynamics and bigger breaks, as well as engine improvements, mean this vehicle will speed up faster, reach higher top speeds and be able to break in shorter distance
- Chevrolet Camaro Z28 RS SS 1970: A re-mapped engine, reduced mass and inertias and a lower centre of mass and stiffer suspension all mean this beast will now accelerate faster and reach higher top speeds. It will also handle much better and will have less body roll
- BMW E30 M3: Equipped with a racing clutch, re-mapped engine and stripped out weight, this vehicle will now accelerate faster, have shorter gear shift times and a higher top speed
- BMW 1 Series M Coupe: My personal favourite tier 1 vehicle, this tuned tier 2 version has seen 150kg of weight stripped out, it has also received a stiffer suspension, an increased camber; allowing for better traction and longer gear ratios to increase top speed
- VW Gold R: A similar make-over as the Chevrolet Camaro received, only in addition, the VW also received a revised differential to reduce understeer.

Update: I just received information from Codemasters that GRID 2 is also receiving free DLC cars across all platforms. On PC these are automatically downloaded for all GRID 2 players through Steam. The free DLC includes 3 free cars, the Tyler McQuarrie Chevrolet Camaro, 5Zigen Honda Civic Super Modified, and the Volswagen Golf R.
Please note, if you are on PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 you will have to go the PSN Store or Xbox Marketplace to download your 3 free cars.
