Ghosts Now Have Haunting Requirements
Hold on to your asses, because we now know system requirements for Call of Duty: Ghosts. I know, shocking, never would have expected it, thank Jesus, etc.. So let's get to it.
OS: Windows 7 64-Bit / Windows 8 64-Bit
CPU: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E8200 2.66 GHZ / AMD Phenom™ X3 8750 2.4 GHZ or better
Memory: 6 GB RAM
Hard Disk Space: 40 GB
Video: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTS 450 / ATI® Radeon™ HD 5870 or better
Sound: DirectX compatible sound card
DirectX®: DirectX® 11
Internet: Broadband Internet connection for Steam and Online Multiplayer.
WHAAAT?! Internet connection for Online Multiplayer? Inconceivable!
Welll, OK, for real now. Everybody who is not too blinded by their everlasting, undying, somewhat battered-wife-ish love for the series is saying that 64-Bit system is a little too much (and these are MINIMUM requirements – your computer must be at least this tall to run it without lag on "lower than furries" settings). I hardly understand such things. What I can say is: 40Gb? While it's lower than the 50Gb claimed by NVidia (that set of requirements was rabidly denied later on), it's still a bloody lot. Did they model each hair of the dog individually? With the usual CoD map being the size of a shoebox and without tanks and other things that go into Battlefield 4's impressive 25 GB install, what do they have in there? Also, I wonder how many people are going to be left out by DirectX 11.
So, what are your two cents about it?
