The Creative Assembly have opened up, a tiny bit, about upcoming survival horror sneakathon Alien Isolation. Answering a few burning (some not so burning) questions and giving us a couple of new images in the process. For those who don't know, Amanda Ripley, daughter of Ellen, is a previously established character in the Aliens franchise, though she was only ever seen as a photograph, as an old woman, in a single picture in a deleted scene from Aliens...quite a mouthful huh?

For those who do know...

Whilst the premise is logical, that of Amanda going looking for her Mother, it doesn't quite fit with the established canon. There has been absolutely no hint of this, at all, in any of the other entries in the series. Be they canon or otherwise, which seems a little shaky, just a tiny bit, if you ask me. This whole thing feels a little bit too shoehorned in and the more I hear, honestly, the more it bugs me. The game itself however, does show a lot of potential. So have a look through the little icebreaker, getting to know your Alien breakdown that the Creative Assembly peoples have written and hold on to your butts.
