Get Your V-Wing on With the Attack Squadrons

Remember Star Wars: Rogue Squadron for the Nintendo 64? Star Wars: Attack Squadrons isn't quite that. It's a free to play browser based PvP centric dogfighting game in the Star Wars Universe, and Disney (This still feels weird.) has just opened beta applications for interested people. You can throw your name into the novelty Darth Vader hat here.

"Star Wars™ : Attack Squadrons is a free-to-play online space combat game where players customize iconic Star Wars™ ships and engage in high-velocity 16 player dogfights in fabled Star Wars locations."

Bob, EA doesn't own LucasArts. Disney bought everything relating to Star Wars and everything else George Lucas had. LucasArts have effectively shut down their development team. All LucasArts is now, is a body of license distribution. They give out rights to make games based on the Star Wars license. Like they did to EA.

This is not a game made by LucasArts, nor by EA. It's made by a developer I've never heard of before, who have not made any other games, and Disney is the publisher.

LucasArts and EA have nothing to do with it.

I thought Disney owns LucasArts? I don't see EA anywhere on the website, and EA is definitely one of those companties that'd at least drop a logo somewhere.
