It's Thursday, and guess what time it is? GTA Online time baby! Rockstar has officially revealed the online portion for the upcoming GTA V, and it certainly looks filled with exciting content. The first notable thing is that you'll b able to explore the entire city and countryside with friends in free-roam. However they seem to be adding a lot more to this mode this time around, you'll be able to head into stores and customize your character's look so you can truly make them dynamic, plus it looks like there are more options for personalisation. You'll also be able to buy your own property and hang around with friends to enjoy the views of Los Santos, and your own garage to fill with vintage automobiles or fast custom made cars for racing with your buddies.

Oh yeah, to mention all the other things you can do with friends and foe, you'll be fighting with or against them in the typical online modes such as death match and racing, and likely some other game modes which have yet to be revealed. But as for now, we've been told that we'll be able to design our own races and death matches with the inbuilt content creator (although we probably won't be able to build our own maps, officially anyway). Finally there seems to be hint at some online missions and some co-operative missions, so we may possibly have a co-operative online campaign for a GTA title at last! But it remains to be seen what they truly have in store for us, plus we'll likely have more stuff explained to us about GTA Online, and more content that will follow upon its release that Rockstar have also confirmed within the trailer (DLC plans, remains unknown if it'll be free and or paid content).

Grand Theft Auto Online is set to be released on consoles on October the 1st after the release date of GTA V online on the 17th of September, as a free addition to the main game. Unfortunately since the rumours were dashed for a PC release date around the same time as consoles, there is no official word of a PC release date as of yet, but we'll keep you all posted till then.
