Full Control Of Gamescom 2013
Full Control has announced that it would not only be at Gamescom this year, but they would also be showing off the much-anticipated Space Hulk, the digital turn-based strategy game which is essentially their take on "the 3rd edition of Games Workshop's epic board-game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe." And as if that wasn't enough to make me feel jealous to all those attendees, they will also be talking about the pre-production behind the other classic they are working on rebooting - Jagged Alliance: Flashback.
While Space Hulk wants to "recreates the classic claustrophobic board game experience" through "a robust 12-mission single-player campaign", and a multiplayer mode that will "allow players to go head-to-head as one player controls the Space Marines and their opponent, the Genestealers, in the ultimate fight for domination" (and apparently, even plans for co-op!), Jagged Alliance: Flashback shoots instead for time travel, as it "transports players back in time to the cold war era" to an island group in the Caribbean that "holds many hidden secrets, humorous stories and hostile environments, which makes a perfect setting for a fun and challenging game with lots of twists and turns. Gameplay features will emphasize the core pillars that made the original games great: deep strategy, thrilling action and character RPG elements."
Can't wait? Catch them at the Nordic Pavillion in Hall 4.2 at booth 0.20 in the Business Area from Wednesday August, 21st till Friday August, 23rd.
