There have been a multitude of sci-fi movies and shows that have depicted humans or objects being placed into and taken out of a computer. From Tron to even that one Scooby Doo movie with the phantom virus. While we are nowhere near able to transport things in or out of computers, we do have digital photos...and apps that can make objects and humans into Minecraft Worlds.

Say whaaaaaat?

That's right, an app dubbed DekkoScan is able to take photos you've taken from your phone and translate those into Minecraft worlds on the PC version. While it isn't a near perfect re-creation in Minecraft, it pretty much resembles the object that was pictured. Unfortunately the app is still awaiting approval by Apple so we'll just have to wait. Until then there's always making an exact replica of the Starship Enterprise.
