Bethesda released a video showing off different aspects of their new MMO, The Elder Scrolls Online. Set 1000 years before the events of Skyrim, ESO will allow players to explore all the lands of Tamriel with their friends and thousands of other players online.

Things to note are the quest systems, classes and customization, and PvP. While they don’t go into full detail how these systems work they give a brief overview of them and plan to release future videos to go into more depth.

I admit that when I first heard about ESO and the basic information about it, I was skeptical and thought it was going to end up being a disappointment like Star Wars: The Old Republic. However, after learning more about the mechanics of the game I’ve gotten a bit more excited about it. Here’s hoping the game will be what it advertises to be, an Elder Scrolls game you can explore with friends and thousands of others players.
