Final Fantasy Type-0 Coming to PC
Shown off at the Computex Taipei Floor Show in conjunction with MSI, Final Fantasy Type-0, the action role-playing game that saw a lot of fanfare for its inclusion of the Final Fantasy XV demo, is going to be making its way to PC for the first time, via Steam. Reportedly, Type-0 will also include a bevy of options for high-end PC users, with some further improvements to the battle and camera controls.
Type-0 follows the trials and tribulations of Class Zero, a group of fourteen students at a magical academy, who find themselves embroiled in a war over crystals. These crystals have paved the way for the founding of quite a few nation-states in Type-0, but there is something else behind the war, and the crystals themselves. Gameplay itself involves three characters involved in one battle at a time, with the option to freely switch between them, though there are some RTS elements that take place on the world map, along with chocobo breeding.
The original game received critical acclaim in the Japanese press upon release, though reviews of the HD remaster have been mixed to positive. Us PC users will be receiving the HD release, though there's no word on whether or not the game will be relocalized, and my guess is that, coming so soon after the release of the HD version in March of this year, it will not be happening. There's also, obviously, no included demo of Final Fantasy XV, though you can't rule out XV coming to PC just yet. We'll know more about the release of the game on Steam in the near future.
