Maybe you're not a fan of MMOs and that's understandable but there's something about FF XIV that's very attractive. As a fan of the series, there's a lot to love and a crazy amount of stuff to do outside of just whacking monsters and finding the optimal skill rotation.

Patch 3.1 will be released on November 10 and will feature a boatload of new content including:

• The 24-player alliance raid “Void Ark”
• Exploratory Missions
• New RTS game at the Gold Saucer, “Lord Of Verminion”
• 2 new end-game dungeons, “Saint Mocianne's Arboretum” and “Pharos Sirius (Hard)”
• Vanu Vanu beast tribe quests
• New side-story quests
• New hairstyles and more
  

Also the trailer features a giant ghost that looks like it belongs in Ghostbusters, a sweet dinosaur and beast-men doing their best to imitate the Maori Haka and failing miserably, so there's a good laugh in there amongst all the shiny things. Bring on November 10!
