Upcoming Indie hit Fez, is releasing on Steam 1st May. Having previously caused controversy by choosing not to release his game on the PC, instead letting it languish as an XBLA exclusive for a while, creator Phil Fish has made a series of ill advised tweets insulting people over the issue of the game's pricing.

Fez is on Steam for £6.99 here in the UK, but with a preorder sale price of 10% off, meaning it is selling for £6.29 for the time being. That's right folks, you can make a grand total of 70 pence in savings! Fair enough though, the entry price for such a well received game is quite low, so no problem right? Wrong!

It seems that a very small number of people made some very slight negative comments over the pricing and the small 10% sale. Fez's creator, Phil Fish, took to Twitter to recklessly run his mouth about it all. Such gems include, "I should be charging you 90$ you fucking ingrates" and "do me a favor, just steal it and shut the fuck up about it". Way to stay classy with the PR Mr. Indie Dev. Of course, being the completely unbiased professional that I am, I can also see why Mr Fish would be annoyed at the complainers (seriously? £6.99 reduced to £6.29 is still a good price, no matter if the sale is small!).

Developers with egos the size of their game's revenue and whining would-be-buyers aside, Fez is available on Steam! So buy it! Or not! Or, if you dare complain about the price, do as Phil Fish recommends and stop being a 'fucking ingrate' and 'steal it and shut the fuck up'! Oh games industry, don't ever change.
