Evolve Getting More Ways to Play

Yo jurors! In case you didn't know, I like Evolve. I like it a lot. So I'm pleased to see that Turtle Rock Studios is adding more ways to enjoy the game.

TRS is going to be adding a host of new content to Evolve in the form of free and paid DLC. First up, is the free stuff. Two free maps will be added to the PC version of the game on April 30th. These maps will come with their own set of new and unique map modifiers triggered by winning or losing the previous round in an Evacuation game mode. In addition to the two new maps there will be an Observer Mode that will allow a 6th player to witness the other 5 playing while swapping between the cameras of any player on the fly. This is perfect for people who want to broadcast matches.

On the paid DLC side of things, starting on March 31st PC players, will have access to four new hunter characters and the fourth of five monsters,The Behemoth. The four hunters will amount to one new hunter being added to each of the 4 playable classes. Together with The Behemoth this makes for 16 hunters and 4 monsters for a total of 20 different characters to play, each with different skills and playstyles.

The Behemoth comes in the Monster Expansion Pack while the hunters come in the Evolve Hunting Season Pass. Preorder customers need not buy the Monster pack as it is included with their purchase. Deluxe Edition and Monster Edition customers need not buy the Hunting Season Pass. Players who do not buy the DLC will still be able to play with and against players who do so the community will not be fragmented into the haves and the havenots like other multiplayer games do as if it's their duty...

What say you jurors! Are you ready to take another hunting expedition through the planet of Shear? Or is this behemoth slice of update news not massive enough to grab your attention? Let us know in the comments.

Won't really make a bit of difference to me. I have my core group of people I enjoy the game with like most MP games I bother with.

3000 daily active players on average, we'll see if a couple of maps will change anything.
