Evolve, Cooperate or Die

Turtlerock Studios, the tightly-knit group of individuals who refuse to NOT cooperate with each other, famous for conceiving the concept for the game that eventually went to be Valve’s Left 4 Dead, have revealed their next great cooperative/competitive effort - Evolve. Sound familiar? Not surprising since the new IP was part of THQ’s massive bankruptcy auction last year, eventually getting scooped up by 2K Games for a cool $10.8 million.
The reveal is being featured in the latest issue of GameInformer and the magazine’s description of the game has me, someone who always prefers his multiplayer be cooperative than competitive, all moist and warm on the palms. The game will see a crew of four hunters on the lookout for some sort of...alien being - a player controlled monster that grows larger and more powerful with each passing round. Call me a fun-loving fun-lover but that sounds amazing! You know, if it’s done right.
Each hunter is said to have his/her own unique items and abilities, hinting at some level of customization or even a class system, but to be frank I’m more interested in how the player-controlled monster will play. I’m picturing something like a cross-section of Left 4 Dead’s Tank and that one iconic movie monster that has yet to be done justice in the realm of video games but that may be changing soon unless the universe decides that it would make for a terrific final joke before I leap from a tall building.
Also, boxart!

Sounds interesting, but not sure if this is executed right, that it'll live for too long, despite if it has potential or not.
