EVE Offline, Dust Flying Everywhere

Oh dear, it appears that CCP have had to take urgent action against a DDoS attack against the EVE Online and Dust 514 servers by temporarily shutting them down amidst the on-going attack. CCP is currently investigating this attack. You can find what they've had to say about this on Facebook or check for updates on twitter to be notified when the servers are up again and anything else in between that timeline.
EVE online is home to more than 500,000 subscribers and had recently been co-joined with Dust 514, a PS3 exclusive, which allowed EVE Online players to help the battle from above and spectate the conflicts that occurred on different planets, both services are affected for the time being.
It sucks, but we'll just have to wait for an ETA from the developers, and hopefully for them to uncover the hole and patch it up, so that the dust can finally settle.

What kind of sad no-lifer do you have to be to DDoS game servers? I mean, it's not like you're sticking it to 'The Man' by crashing an FBI mainframe or anything. You're just ruining a good time for a bunch of harmless strangers who want to play a video game. Nice one guys. I hope you feel all clever and special.
