EVE ARE LEGION!
EVE Online is a very well-known MMO with a lot history and infamy, for many different reasons. For those that know, DUST 514 was originally announced a few years back, but had no real platforms announced, and was soon revealed to be PS3 exclusive, which was rather odd at the time. Many demanded for a PC version to coincide with the release, but these were assumingly ignored, apparently until now. CCP announced Project Legion at their annual EVE Fanfest in Iceland.
The game is aiming to be a re-imagined version of DUST 514, except it aims to bring more to the table with PVE and PVP. PVE zones, where people can kill and loot for items, will have different security levels, meaning low security zones means no friendly fire, high security however enables friendly fire, to make things interesting.
“It’s still very early, it’s been a few months the team in Shanghai has worked on it, and the idea is to really deliver on that vision, very much on that same vision, but there were a few pillars that were really important. More of a sandbox experience, more true to Eve, as an example, than necessarily Dust,” Jean-Charles Gaudechon told Polygon.
With this and EVE: Valkyrie, and let’s not forget the original almighty EVE, CCP have a lot on their plate, even though they did cancel World of Darkness not too long ago. It’ll be interesting to see how all 3 pan out within the next year or so.
