But do you know what else is bad? As in, bad ass? Ellen Ripley, who is returning as a pre-order bonus in the Crew Expendable mission. In which, you can play as Ripley, Parker or Dallas whilst co-ordinating with Ash and Lambert (all voiced by the original cast) in the iconic airlock scene. Called the Nostromo Edition (for obvious reason) this will be automatically made available to all UK customers who already pre-ordered, as well as another section set aboard before Ripley's escape from the destroyed mining tugboat aboard the shuttle Narcissus. Called Last Survivor, this follows the events of the 1979 calssic’s closing moments. Unarguably one of the most dramatically tense endings in cinema history.

I won't deny, I still retain some scepticism about the game living up to expectations. But the return of Ripley, the Ripley, is doing a damn good job of winning me over.
