Elite: Dangerous Funded
After the amazing support Star Citizen received from a Sci-Fi simulation starved community, Elite: Dangerous also managed to light up the fusion drives, clamp-down the air hatches and blast of into outer-space. It was a tense countdown at the end but Elite managed to get going just two days before the deadline. I guess community support doesn't come too early or too late, but arrives precisely when it means too.
Elite: Dangerous is thus the second successful revival of the long thought dead Sci-Fi simulation games, breathing new life into what was deemed to be a lost-cause genre. Having been troubled by a lack of support half-way through the Kickstarter backing period – probably because Star Citizen snatched up all the money - and some raised eyebrows when laying-off staff while looking for new employees, it eventually, received popular backing by its main competitor. Now, funded and ready to go, it is David Braden's and his teams turn to once again let the magic happen and show off what he can do with the resources and means available to him.

Even though I haven't pledged I am happy. Will get it as soon as it's on Steam.
