EA CEO Makes Big Bucks

With John Riccitello stepping down as head of the struggling publisher, Larry Probst has stepped into the position temporarily to boast a $1.03 million salary for his troubles. Presumably calculated on an annual basis, meaning his total take home may be significant smaller if the position is filled permanently, which I'm sure it will be. Probst, of course, is no stranger to the position, having already held the same roll from 1991 to 2007, which leaves me wondering if his own appointment will become a full time thing. Hopefully not, considering EA's shady track record during his previous tenure. Regardless, that's some pretty hefty wonga heading his way, with talks of further bonuses if and when he steps back down. An officially opening has already been listed, with EA stating they are considering both external and internal applicants. What the end result will be remains to be seen, but I'm sure I'm not the only one already showing reservations about this particular turns of events. Comments below.
