Following the updated re-release of the original game last year it has now been revealed that Firefly Worlds are working on Stronghold Crusader 2. Fans have been waiting since the release of the original game in 2002 for a sequel so it's about time. Be sure to take a gander at the 47 second teaser above.

The blurb from the new game hypes "new visuals, a tightly reworked interface for better battle control, environmental effects and threats, real-time physics and a range of gameplay enhancements" all while building on what made the original so close to players' hearts. The original Crusader was released only a year after the first Stronghold and was set in the Middle East. Players could either lead the defending Arabian forces or the invading knights.
