Appearing on Steam today, a new, Free-to-Play (F2P) version of Dwarfs!?, a game that can be described as "Dwarf Fortress lite". The new F2P version allows you to play the core game (the tutorials, Arcade, and Challenge modes) completely free of charge. For an additional payment, you can also unlock all the extra content and modes for the game, including Endless Mode, which removes the 10, 30, or 60 minute session limits of Arcade mode, and the Base Defense mode.

It's an interesting move for sure, especially considering that F2P games generally are multiplayer games built with micro-transactions in mind. Maybe this new version will have players telling a few more stories of Dwarf disasters.
