Dragon Age 3 Art and Details Emerge
BioWare have let slip a few details about the upcoming' Dragon Age 3: Inquisition', during a panel at the Edmonton Comic Expo, as well as releasing a few concept art images for your viewing pleasure.
Among the key quotes about the third entry in this, so far, inconsistent series, it seems that BioWare is learning from past mistakes. Cinematic Designer John Perry said that "he's had a longer pre-production on Dragon Age 3 than any other BioWare project he's worked on". This is good news, as Dragon Age II's famously short development cycle was, according to many, one of the prime reasons it resulted in a lacklustre sequel to the otherwise quite good Dragon Age: Origins.
As well as this, "one level in Dragon Age 3 is as big as all of Dragon Age II's levels." If that doesn't same something about the scope of this next entry, I don't know what will. It's also good news on the customisation front. According to Creative Director Mike Laidlaw, "customization is going to be bigger than Dragon Age: Origins." So if we are judging the game solely on promises before substantial evidence, then DA3 looks to be great! Of course, never believe the hype, wait for gameplay instead.
Finally we come to the concept art, which actually looks very nice, detailing snowy and grassy areas alike, with plenty of detail. It's just a wait to see how this translates into game footage though.
