It seems that DICE Software are taking a note out of their publisher's book, and sticking to the plan of avoiding fan response by trying new but dumb approaches. This particular scenario is the debacle of Battlefield 4's lack of pre-match squad lobbies, which were a feature that was included in Battlefield 3. Being able to connect with friends before the match started in order to ensure that both were a part of the game seems like a no brainer. But, we're dealing with near EA levels of stupidity at DICE, the publisher's little bratty child that keeps drawing on the walls with markers. That might actually be the best analogy for the DICE and EA relationship, a child with a parent that can't discipline it because he's just so darn cute. But maybe I should be giving DICE the benefit of the doubt here, why don't we listen to their explanation?

"We have a new feature in Battlefield where a new squad is created when a friend joins your game. You can toggle this option on or off by going into the options menu. We're not offering the old squad join feature because we didn't feel that the feature in Battlefield 3 was on par with the quality that we wanted to offer our players. We have no plans to add it in the future."

Well why don't you look at that? DICE were just changing from the old system to a new one in order to escalate the quality of the user experience. I'm already feeling like a silly p - oh, it doesn't work. Well that is according to player response on Facebook, which could be an over exaggeration of the problem.
