Notorious new release, Diablo III, is either good or terrible depending on who you ask. Regardless of all that, the Starter is edition is free to play. Direct from Blizzard themselves:
...the Starter Edition allows you to fight your way up to the Skeleton King boss in Act I, and advance all the way to level 13, without having to purchase a copy of Diablo III.
If you were interested in Diablo 3 but haven't bought it yet (and who would blame you), then this looks like a good way to try out the game. Providing they have fixed the logon issues. I'm assuming they have, they've had all this time to do so after all. Right? RIGHT?
All tomfoolery aside, get the lowdown here on the free Starter Edition.

Guess I'll be trying this out then but the general consensus as I know it is that there's a lot of problems with this game compared to the first two so I don't know that I will be buying it whether I enjoy this short free version or not. The Auction House in particular sounds like something that can go fuck itself to be pretty blunt.
